Student academic achievement is influenced by various factors, including emotional intelligence. This study aims to determine the effect of emotional intelligence on the academic achievement of 10th-grade students at Kupang State High School 4. This study employed a quantitative research method with a causal approach. The data were analyzed using simple linear regression. The results show that emotional intelligence has no effect on student academic achievement (F = 2.427; p > 0.05), with a contribution of 2.2%. Therefore, efforts to improve academic achievement must be comprehensive, taking into account various internal and external factors, rather than focusing solely on emotional intelligence.
